Like the design-build system, this service offers financing to clients who need a new facility but do not have the necessary financing available. This service helps the client get into a new building without the initial burden of construction costs.
This method is different from the design-bid-build system because it utilizes the services of a construction manager to coordinate and communicate the entire project process to the client, architect and contractor(s). This manager is essential in articulating cost, deadline and feasibility issues during the design process. The construction manager also bids, awards and manages the project's various construction phases.
